In an earlier life, I played World of Warcraft, almost to my ruin. I was a very dedicated player. For much of my time, I was a member of the Ambassadors of Truth, a modest raiding guild that played on the Dragonblight EU server. The video below is a sort of promotional tour of us in Molten Core back in Vanilla WoW and was created by Lancar, a mage and someone I was fiercely competitive with. Except, as a Warlock, back in vanilla... well, Warlocks kind of sucked. But anyway, when I'm feeling nostalgic for the good old days, I pull up this video and watch it. Doesn’t really make me feel any better but I do it anyway.
Hope this video plays properly - I converted it from the original 250MB AVI to a more svelte 34MB MP4.
Heh, I just noticed something I hadn't spotted before. I went from "Corporal" at the start to "Sergeant" towards the end. I don't think I got a higher rank than that (PvP was never my strong point). I do remember that we had a warrior named Xiko who got to be a Field Marshal, which I think was the top rank. Still, I'm digressing and I really can't remember the ins and outs of it, save to save that battlegrounds in vanilla could be quite fun. And could also be very very long.
